Atlas® BP10000X — 10,000 lbs 2-Post Lift

Some bays just don't have the ceiling for a lift — or so it seems until you measure carefully. If you're working out of a space with rafters under ten feet, a finished drop ceiling, low ductwork, or a garage door track in the way, every clearfloor and overhead-bar lift on the market is simply too tall to fit. You've got the floor space and the work coming in, but the room overhead keeps a standard two-post lift out of the picture, and you're stuck on ramps or jack stands when you should be lifting.

The Atlas® BP10000X is built for the lowest-ceiling bays out there. As a commercial-grade baseplate lift, its equalizer cables run across the floor between the posts instead of through an overhead crossbar — which drops the whole lift to just 111 7/8" tall, low enough to fit under ceilings well under ten feet where nothing else will. You still get a full 10,000 lb capacity with super-symmetric arms that center the load evenly and reach a wide range of wheelbases, plus 112 1/4" inside the columns and a 101 1/4" drive-thru for loading cars and light trucks. It runs on standard 220V single-phase 30A and includes a 12-piece truck adapter set. The trade-off is the floor plate between the posts — but in a bay this tight, that plate is the only thing that makes a real two-post lift possible at all.

Who the BP10000X Is Built For

  • Shops in the lowest-ceiling bays around — under ten feet of clearance — where every clearfloor and overhead lift is too tall; the 111 7/8" baseplate height is built to squeeze in where nothing else fits.
  • Home garages, converted spaces, and storage-unit bays with a drop ceiling, low ductwork, or a garage-door track overhead that rules out a taller lift entirely.
  • Techs stuck on ramps or jack stands because the room won't take a standard lift — the BP10000X finally puts a full 10,000 lb two-post lift in a space that couldn't have one before.
  • Shops servicing cars and light trucks that don't need a 12k or 15k machine — 10,000 lb capacity and super-symmetric arms cover the everyday work without overbuying.
  • Bays loading a normal mix of vehicles where the 101 1/4" drive-thru and 112 1/4" inside-column width handle cars, crossovers, and light trucks with room to open doors.
  • Owners who'll trade an unobstructed floor for the ability to lift at all — if the ceiling is the hard limit, a floor plate between the posts is a fair price for getting a real lift in the bay.

What the BP10000X Is NOT Built For

  • ❌ Shops wanting a fully clear floor (baseplate runs between columns)
  • ❌ Buyers requiring ALI/ETL certification — choose the Atlas Platinum PVL-10 instead

What Makes the BP10000X Different

Lowest-Ceiling Baseplate Design

The BP10000X routes its equalizer cables across the floor between the posts rather than through an overhead crossbar, which is what drops the entire lift to just 111 7/8" tall — low enough to fit under ceilings well under ten feet. For a home garage, a converted space, or a bay with low ductwork or a garage-door track in the way, that baseplate design is the only thing that makes a real two-post lift possible. You accept a floor plate between the columns in exchange for the lowest fit on the market, and that trade is what gets a tech off ramps and jack stands and under a properly lifted vehicle.

Capacity & Lift Height

The BP10000X delivers a full 10,000 lb capacity — right-sized for the cars, crossovers, and light trucks that make up most everyday shop work without paying for 12k or 15k you won't use. Its super-symmetric arms center the load evenly and reach a wide range of wheelbases, lifting up to a max of 86 3/8" with the adapters in place for genuine standing room underneath. Right-sized capacity plus real lift height means comfortable, efficient under-vehicle access on your bread-and-butter jobs — in a bay that a standard lift was never supposed to fit.

Bay Fit & Clearance

The BP10000X measures 139 1/8" across the floor with 112 1/4" inside the columns and a 101 1/4" drive-thru between the posts. That gives cars, crossovers, and light trucks room to pull straight in and open their doors without the column crowding them — the everyday loading width a working bay needs. Confirming these numbers against your floor layout up front means the lift fits both your space and the vehicles you service before it ever ships, so you're not solving a clearance problem after the crate arrives.

Included Truck Adapters

Every BP10000X comes with a 12-piece truck adapter set, so light trucks and frame-contact vehicles sit at the right height with the right pads from the day the lift goes into service. You're not hunting down stack adapters or guessing at lift points the first week — the contact points are correct and safe out of the box. Having the adapters included means faster, more confident setup on every vehicle and one less thing to source, so the lift is ready to work the moment it's installed and anchored.

Power & Hydraulics

The BP10000X runs on 220V, single-phase power with a 30-amp breaker — the same electrical spec as most shop welders and rotary-screw compressors, and well within what a typical garage panel already supports. In most spaces that means no dedicated panel upgrade and no electrician visit beyond running a line to the lift location. Simple single-phase power keeps install cost low and lets the lift fit your existing setup rather than forcing an electrical project. Easy power means you're lifting sooner and spending less to get the BP10000X working.

✅ Best For

❌ Not Ideal For
  • ❌ Shops wanting a fully clear floor (baseplate runs between columns)
  • ❌ Buyers requiring ALI/ETL certification — choose the Atlas Platinum PVL-10 instead

Frequently Asked Questions — Atlas® BP10000X

How low a ceiling can the BP10000X fit?

At just 111 7/8" (about 9' 4") overall, the BP10000X baseplate design fits bays where an overhead-bar lift won't clear. The cables route across the floor instead of overhead.

Is the Atlas BP10000X ALI certified?

No — it's commercial-grade but not ALI-listed. For an ALI-certified 10,000 lb lift, Alamo sells the Atlas Platinum PVL-10.

What are super-symmetric arms?

The BP10000X uses super-symmetric arms that balance the load near-evenly front to rear, giving flexible vehicle spotting across cars, SUVs, and light trucks.

Does the BP10000X include adapters?

Yes — a 12-piece truck adapter set with 2", 3", and 6" heights is included. Hydraulic oil is separate (3-5 gallons AW32/AW46).
