Challenger SA10 — 10,000 lbs 2-Post Lift
Not every shop needs quick-cycle speed or dual pendant controls. What they need is a reliable, ALI-certified 10,000 lb 2-post lift that installs correctly, holds the vehicle securely, and works across a mixed load of cars, trucks, and SUVs without drama. The Challenger SA10 is that lift — Challenger's standard 10K clearfloor model at a price point that doesn't require the shop to pay for features it won't use.
The SA10 installs symmetric or asymmetric, depending on how the shop approaches vehicles. 3-stage front arms reach from 22.375" to 41.5", covering sedan lift points to half-ton truck positions without a full adapter swap. Adjustable height and width settings let the installer dial in the bay; a 2-foot extension is available if the vehicle mix leans toward taller trucks. For a first lift, a second bay, or any shop that wants ALI-certified 10K capacity without premium features, the SA10 is Challenger's reliable entry point.
Who the SA10 Is Built For
- The general-service shop that doesn't need the premium quick-cycle or dual pendant features but wants a solid 10K ALI-certified lift at a lower price point
- Shops servicing a wide mix — sedans, crossovers, half-ton pickups, and light vans — where the option to install symmetric or asymmetric lets the installer match the lift to how technicians actually approach vehicles
- Technicians who use 3-stage front arms to reach further without swapping adapters — the 22.375" to 41.5" front reach covers most vehicle lift point locations
- Repair bays where the 2-foot height extension option keeps a path open to taller column clearance if the vehicle mix shifts toward larger trucks after installation
- Owner-operators opening a first bay who want Challenger-brand ALI-certified quality at the most accessible 10K price point in the lineup
What the SA10 Is NOT Built For
- ❌ Shops needing 12,000 lb+ capacity — see the Challenger CL12A-DPC-QC or CL12A-LC-DPC-QC
- ❌ Shops requiring QuickCycle rise speed or dual pendant controls — the SA10 is Challenger's standard-speed, single-pendant model
- ❌ Bays with ceilings below 12' — the SA10 requires a 12' minimum ceiling clearance
What Makes the SA10 Different
Symmetric or Asymmetric — One Lift, Two Configurations
The SA10 installs in either a symmetric or asymmetric position — set at the time of installation based on how your shop approaches vehicles. Symmetric centers the vehicle between columns and works well for trucks and vans where door clearance isn't the priority. Asymmetric shifts the column offset to keep the driver-side door accessible during the approach. That install-time choice means the SA10 adapts to your shop's workflow rather than forcing you to pick a lift designed for only one method.
3-Stage Front Arms for Maximum Reach
The SA10's 3-stage front arms reach from 22.375" to 41.5" — covering the full range of lift point positions across sedans, crossovers, and half-ton trucks. The 2-stage rear arms add 38.25" to 59" of rear reach. Together, this arm range lets technicians reach factory-specified lift points on vehicles from a compact Corolla to a loaded F-150 without pulling out a separate adapter set for every model change.
Adjustable Height and Width at Install
The SA10 offers two height settings (136.5" or 142.5" overall) and adjustable width options at installation. A 2-foot height extension is available for shops that need additional overhead clearance for taller trucks or vans. The adjustable width lets the installer tune the column spread to the shop's actual vehicle mix, so the bay works for compact cars and full-size trucks without forcing a compromise either direction.
ALI/ETL Certified 10K Clearfloor
The SA10 is ALI/ETL certified — independently verified against ANSI/ALI ALCTV safety standards. Challenger lists this explicitly in the SA10 specifications on their manufacturer website. For shops where documented safety certification is a compliance requirement or a customer-facing reassurance, the SA10 delivers 10K capacity with that independent verification.
Single-Point Mechanical Lock Release
The SA10's single-point mechanical lock release lets the technician disengage both columns simultaneously from one position. That means less walking around the vehicle to release each column independently — a practical time-saver in a shop that raises and lowers vehicles dozens of times a day. Padded overhead shut-off prevents vehicle damage if a lifted vehicle contacts the crossbar.
- ✅ Single-bay shops that service a broad mix of cars, trucks, and SUVs and need symmetric or asymmetric flexibility from one lift
- ✅ General-purpose shops looking for a 10,000 lb ALI-certified 2-post at a competitive price point without premium features like quick-cycle or dual pendant
- ✅ Technicians who prefer 3-stage front arms for maximum sweep reach on longer-wheelbase vehicles without adapter changes
- ✅ Shops where adjustable height and width at install gives the flexibility to dial in the lift to their specific bay constraints
- ✅ Operations that benefit from a 2-foot height extension option — if their vehicle mix includes taller trucks that need more column overhead
