Manuals & Resources
Challenger's own installation manual is titled "EV/EH Inground Install Manual" and covers both families' pit/electrical/air requirements together. Call Alamo at (817) 865-3707 to confirm before your pit gets poured.

Will the EH10 Fit Your Bay?
Like every Challenger inground lift, the EH10 installs in a below-grade pit within your shop bay -- the fit question is pit depth and drive-thru clearance, not ceiling height. Confirmed from two independent Challenger-authorized dealer listings: 72" rise height and 87" drive-thru clearance. Alamo verifies your bay against these figures before your pit gets poured.

Pit Excavation & Concrete
Steel-reinforced concrete, 3,500 PSI minimum, cured 28+ days, level within 3/8" over the install area. No anchor placement within 3-3/8" of any crack, edge, or expansion joint. 2" sch. 40 PVC chase for air/hydraulic lines. Minimum recommended bay: 12' wide x 24' deep.
Electrical
2 HP, 208-230V single phase, 60Hz (3-phase optional). Dedicated 20A breaker per lift -- never operate below 208V. Hire a licensed electrician; loose whip-cord with twist-lock plug is the recommended hookup.
Air Supply
Clean, dry shop air required, with a filter/lubricator, per the Challenger installation manual.
Alamo confirms your bay against these figures, reviews your pit plan, and installs it correctly.

Challenger EH10

A 10,000 lb inground lift that installs flush with the shop floor solves a real space problem -- no above-floor posts or arms eating into a bay that also needs room to walk around a vehicle, park a second car, or roll a jack through. The Challenger EH10 is built for exactly that: a below-grade, cassette-style 2-post lift with the same 10,000 lb capacity most shops already plan around.

Who the EH10 Is Built For

  • Shops that need 10,000 lb of inground capacity in a flush-mount footprint — 72" rise height and 87" drive-thru clearance, confirmed across two independent dealer listings, with no above-floor lift body eating into bay space.
  • Shops replacing an aging inground lift with the same install scope — the EH10 fits the same pit/cassette footprint most shops already have from a prior inground lift, so the excavation work you've already budgeted for still applies.
  • Techs who want on-lift controls, not a bench-mounted console — the standard EH10 keeps the control valve on the lift body itself; a Bench-Mount Controls version (EH10-BMC) is available if you'd rather run it from a fixed station instead.
  • Shops open to a below-grade pit install — like every Challenger inground lift, the EH10 requires pit excavation and concrete work -- plan the same construction scope as the EV/EW families.

What the EH10 Is NOT Built For

  • You need capacity above 10,000 lbs -- see the EV1220 or EW12 in the 12,000 lb class.
  • You want a surface-mounted lift with no excavation -- every inground Challenger lift, including the EH10, requires a below-grade pit.

What Sets the EH10 Apart

  • 10,000 lb. lifting capacity with a 72" rise height and 87" drive-thru clearance.
  • Hybrid inground 2-post lift: cassette-style, flush in-floor containment for a clean shop appearance with no above-floor lift body in the way.
  • 8.5-inch chrome cylinders for smooth, consistent lift action.
  • Runs on a 2 HP, 208-230V single-phase motor (3-phase optional) -- standard shop power, no special electrical service required beyond a dedicated 20A breaker.

10,000 lbs.

Why Buy the EH10 from Alamo Equipment & Service?

  • We plan the pit with you. An inground lift install starts with excavation and concrete -- Alamo reviews your bay layout as part of that confirmation.
  • We install it. Alamo coordinates the pit, concrete, electrical, and air-supply work end to end, then sets and commissions the lift.
  • We service it. After install, call the same equipment team at (817) 865-3707 for support.
