Will the EH10-BMC Fit Your Bay?
Like every Challenger inground lift, the EH10-BMC installs in a below-grade pit within your shop bay -- the fit question is pit depth and drive-thru clearance, not ceiling height. 72" rise height and 87" drive-thru clearance. Alamo verifies your bay against these figures before your pit gets poured.

Site Prep - What to Confirm Before Your Pit Gets Poured
Sourced from the Challenger installation manual referenced by EH10-BMC's listings.
Pit Excavation & Concrete
Steel-reinforced concrete, 3,500 PSI minimum, cured 28+ days, level within 3/8" over the install area. No anchor placement within 3-3/8" of any crack, edge, or expansion joint. 2" sch. 40 PVC chase for air/hydraulic lines. Minimum recommended bay: 12' wide x 24' deep.
Electrical
2 HP, 208-230V single phase, 60Hz (3-phase optional). Dedicated 20A breaker per lift -- never operate below 208V. Hire a licensed electrician; loose whip-cord with twist-lock plug is the recommended hookup.
Air Supply
Clean, dry shop air required, with a filter/lubricator, per the Challenger installation manual.
Alamo confirms your bay against these figures, reviews your pit plan, and installs it correctly.

Challenger EH10-BMC

Buying an inground lift sight-unseen on published numbers is already a leap of faith.

This configuration includes Bench-Mount Controls (BMC), which on Challenger's other current inground families mounts the lift controls inside a workbench (by button or lever) instead of a stand-alone console; Alamo will confirm this is implemented identically on the EH10 before your order ships.

Who the EH10-BMC Is Built For

  • Shops running a fixed operator station — Bench-Mount Controls puts the console on a wall or workbench instead of the lift body, so a tech running the pit doesn't have to walk back to the lift every time to raise or lower it.
  • Shops that need 10,000 lb of inground capacity in a flush-mount footprint — 72" rise height and 87" drive-thru clearance, confirmed across two independent dealer listings, with no above-floor lift body eating into the bay.
  • Multi-bay shops standardizing on one control layout — if your other inground lifts already use bench-mounted consoles, matching the EH10-BMC to that layout keeps operator training and workflow consistent across bays.
  • Shops open to a below-grade pit install — like every Challenger inground lift, the EH10-BMC requires pit excavation and concrete work; Alamo plans the console wiring run to the bench location as part of that same install.
  • Buyers comparing configurations before they order — an on-lift-control version (EH10, no BMC) is also available if a bench-mounted station doesn't fit your bay layout.

What the EH10-BMC Is NOT Built For

  • You need capacity above 10,000 lbs -- see the EV1220 or EW12 in the 12,000 lb class.
  • You want a surface-mounted lift with no excavation -- every inground Challenger lift, including the EH10, requires a below-grade pit.

What Sets the EH10-BMC Apart

  • 10,000 lb. lifting capacity with a 72" rise height and 87" drive-thru clearance.
  • Hybrid inground 2-post lift: cassette-style, flush in-floor containment for a clean shop appearance with no above-floor lift body in the way.
  • Bench-Mount Controls (BMC): the control console mounts on a wall or bench station instead of on the lift itself, so operators don't have to walk to the lift body to run it.
  • 8.5-inch chrome cylinders for smooth, consistent lift action.
  • Runs on a 2 HP, 208-230V single-phase motor (3-phase optional) -- standard shop power, no special electrical service required beyond a dedicated 20A breaker.
  • Full spec sheet confirmation available from Alamo before you order, since Challenger doesn't currently feature this model on its own product pages.

Frequently Asked Questions - EH10-BMC

What is the lifting capacity?

10,000 lbs.

What are the rise height and drive-thru clearance?

72" rise height and 87" drive-thru clearance. Challenger's own site does not currently feature this model, so Alamo still verifies the sheet directly with Challenger before your order ships.

What does BMC mean?

Bench-Mount Controls on Challenger's other inground families — controls mount inside a workbench instead of a stand-alone console. Alamo will confirm this is implemented the same way on the EH10 before your order ships.

Why Buy the EH10-BMC from Alamo Equipment & Service?

  • We plan the pit with you. An inground lift install starts with excavation and concrete -- Alamo reviews your bay layout as part of that confirmation.
  • We install it. Alamo coordinates the pit, concrete, electrical, and air-supply work end to end, then sets and commissions the lift.
  • We service it. After install, call the same equipment team at (817) 865-3707 for support.

A shop buying from a pure e-commerce retailer gets a box. A shop buying from Alamo gets a partner.
