The Challenger CL12A-DPC-QC gives professional shops a 12,000 lb ALI certified 2-post lift with the higher-rise standard CL12A configuration. It is built for shops that want more working height than the low-ceiling CL12A-LC while keeping Challenger's adjustable-width 12K platform.

This model is a strong fit for trucks, SUVs, vans, fleet vehicles, and mixed repair bays that need more capacity margin than a 10K lift. The DPC/QC package adds dual pendant controls and QuickCycle speed, while 3-stage front and rear arms help technicians reach a wider range of pickup points.

Standard-Height 12K Capability

The CL12A-DPC-QC is the standard-height model in Challenger's adjustable 12K 2-post family. It gives shops a listed 84.75" rise height and 12,000 lb lifting capacity for heavier daily repair work.

Adjustable Width for Wider Vehicles

During installation, the columns can be set at standard width, +6", or +12". That helps the same bay handle standard cars, pickups, vans, SUVs, and wider electric vehicles without forcing every shop into one fixed column spread.

3-Stage Front and Rear Arms

With 3-stage front and rear arms and a 27.5" to 59" arm reach range, the CL12A-DPC-QC gives technicians more positioning flexibility across mixed vehicle types.

QuickCycle and Dual Pendant Controls

The DPC/QC configuration pairs dual pendant controls with a listed 40-second rise time. Shops that cycle heavier vehicles all day get easier column-side access and a faster cycle time than slower heavy-duty 2-post setups.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Challenger CL12A-DPC-QC ALI certified?

Yes. The CL12A-DPC-QC is part of Challenger's ALI certified 12,000 lb adjustable 2-post lift family, making it a strong choice for commercial shops that need documented lift certification.

What is the lifting capacity?

The CL12A-DPC-QC is rated for 12,000 lbs when the vehicle is properly positioned and the lift is installed according to Challenger requirements.

How is the CL12A-DPC-QC different from the CL12A-LC?

The CL12A-DPC-QC is the standard-height version with an 84.75" rise height. The CL12A-LC is the low-ceiling model with an 11' 11" column height for shops limited to roughly 12' ceilings.

What vehicles is this 12K lift best for?

It is a good fit for pickups, vans, SUVs, fleet vehicles, and mixed repair work where a 10K lift does not provide enough capacity margin.

Does the CL12A-DPC-QC have adjustable width?

Yes. The lift can be installed at standard, +6 inch, or +12 inch width settings, giving shops more flexibility for wider vehicles and service bay layouts.

What arm setup does the CL12A-DPC-QC use?

It uses 3-stage front and rear arms with a listed 27.5 inch to 59 inch arm reach range for cars, SUVs, vans, and trucks.

Can Alamo install this Challenger 12K lift?

Yes. Alamo Equipment & Service can help with bay planning, installation, annual inspections, repair, and long-term service support. Call (817) 865-3707 to discuss the bay.

How does the CL12A-DPC-QC compare to the Atlas PV12PX?

Both are Alamo-sold 12K 2-post options. The Challenger is the premium ALI certified adjustable-width choice with QuickCycle/DPC controls, while the Atlas PV12PX is a value-focused extra-wide/extra-tall 12K alternative.

Best For

✓ Repair shops that need 12,000 lb capacity with more rise height than a low-ceiling model

✓ Owners who want Alamo to help with planning, install, inspection, and service

✗ Not ideal for applications above 12,000 lbs; consider a 15K or heavier-duty lift
