Graco Pressure Relief Kit for Fire-Ball 300 5:1 Pump, 900 PSI Max #237893

This kit solves a common problem on Fire-Ball 300 5:1 pump systems: pressure that builds up in the line when the pump is shut off but fluid is still trapped and heating up. Left unchecked, that pressure has nowhere to go.

This kit installs on the dispensing-valve side and vents the excess safely. It's built specifically for the 5:1 pump's 900 psi rating -- Graco makes separate kits for other Fire-Ball ratios, so this isn't a one-size-fits-all accessory. Included: a pipe bushing, tee, 900 psi relief valve, bung adapter, 12 in. hose, and swivel adapter.

Compatibility & Fitment

Rated exclusively for the Fire-Ball 300 5:1 pump family (900 psi max working pressure). Graco's own Fire-Ball parts manual documents two other relief kits set to different pump ratios and pressures -- Part No. 240429 for the 10:1 Fire-Ball 425 pump (1,600 psi) and Part No. 235998 for the 3:1 Fire-Ball 225 pumps (540 psi) -- and these three kits are not interchangeable because each relief valve is set to that pump family's own maximum working pressure. If your pump is not a Fire-Ball 300 5:1, confirm the correct relief kit for your ratio before ordering.

Warranty

Graco backs this equipment with its standard 1-year warranty against defects in material and workmanship from the date of sale.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this kit fit my 10:1 Fire-Ball 425 pump?

No. This kit's relief valve is set for the Fire-Ball 300 5:1 pump's 900 psi maximum working pressure. Graco publishes a separate kit, Part No. 240429, set to 1,600 psi for the 10:1 Fire-Ball 425 pump.

Why does thermal relief matter?

When fluid is sealed in the pump, hose, and dispensing valve with the pump shut off, heat expansion can build pressure beyond the system's rated working pressure. A relief kit installed on the dispensing-valve side vents that excess pressure safely.

What's included in the kit?

A carbon steel pipe bushing, a tee, a 900 psi relief valve, a bung adapter, a 12 in. coupled hose, and a 90-degree swivel adapter.

What should I confirm before ordering?

Confirm your pump is the Fire-Ball 300 5:1 ratio -- if it's a different Fire-Ball ratio, you'll need a different relief kit rated to that pump's own maximum working pressure.
