Identify your lift's exact model and serial numbers from the serial tag — typically on the main column or the drive-up ramp end. Most 4-post lift parts are model-specific — runway extensions and cable sets for one model are often not interchangeable with another model, even from the same brand. Provide the model and serial number when ordering.

Most common replacements include equalizer cables (stretch and fatigue under repeated cycling), hydraulic seals and cylinders (leak under age and load), drive-through approach ramps (surface wear from vehicle entry), drip trays (accumulate oil and require periodic replacement), and safety lock pawls and springs (wear in the lock engagement mechanism).

Using unapproved non-OEM parts on an ALI-certified 4-post lift can void the certification and manufacturer's warranty. ALI certification covers the tested configuration, including original components. Use genuine OEM or manufacturer-approved replacement parts to maintain certification status on certified models.

Inspect equalizer cables at every annual lift service. Replace at the first sign of fraying, kinking, corrosion, or elongation. On high-volume storage lifts that cycle daily, inspect cables every six months. A broken equalizer cable can cause the platform to drop unevenly under a stored vehicle.
