Commercial and OTR wheel assemblies are too large and too heavy for a shop changer built around passenger-car geometry — clamping a 40" truck or ag wheel on the wrong machine risks damaging both the wheel and the tool, and it usually needs two technicians to muscle it into position. The Hofmann® monty® 4400 is built specifically for that job: a hydraulic four-jaw chuck self-centers and clamps rims from 14" up to 44" (with optional extensions to 56"), and a mobile remote console lets a single technician run the entire mount/demount cycle safely from a distance.

The monty® 4400 and its sibling, the monty® 5800B, both serve heavy-duty commercial truck and OTR work, but the 5800B goes further at the top end — a wider 58" clamping range (vs. 44" standard on the 4400) and a 4,409 lb. wheel-weight capacity for the largest ag and off-road assemblies. If your fleet mix tops out around 44" rims and standard 3,300 lb. wheel weights, the 4400 covers that duty class at roughly $12,000 less than the 5800B.
