iDEAL FR-77-18 — 18' Steel Plate Deck Frame Rack
The iDEAL FR-77-18 is an 18-foot tilt-deck, steel plate platform frame rack built for full-service collision repair: pulling, straightening, and measuring unibody and full-frame vehicles on one machine. The deck tilts down to grade for drive-on loading and back up to working height, rated for 7,700 lb with the drive-on ramps.
Two 10-ton pulling towers with telescoping heads ride on adjustable tower collars along the deck, so you can position pull points anywhere along the 18-foot length. An overhead boom pull tower extension adds upward pull angles for roof and pillar work that a deck-level tower alone can't reach.
The universal anchoring system uses adjustable-height pinch weld assemblies to clamp the vehicle's rocker panels directly to the deck, holding the body rigid while you pull. Two high-quality air/hydraulic pumps with pressure gauges power the towers, connected through quick-disconnect hydraulic fittings so you can move a pump between towers without draining lines.
Who It's Built For
- ✅ Collision repair shops running full unibody/frame straightening work, not just cosmetic body repair
- ✅ Shops that need two independent pulling towers working different pull points at once
- ✅ Facilities with shop air (100–120 PSI) already in place — no dedicated electrical circuit needed
What It's NOT Built For
- ❌ Shops that regularly service vehicles longer than 18 feet — see the 20-foot FR-77-20 instead
- ❌ Tight bays without room to swing the overhead boom tower and both pulling towers

What Makes the FR-77-18 Different
Two Independent 10-Ton Pulling Towers
Each tower has a telescoping head and rides an adjustable collar along the full deck length, so both towers can be repositioned to pull from any point on the vehicle without moving the car.
Overhead Boom Pull Tower Extension
The boom extension mounts to a pulling tower to add upward and angled pull directions — useful for roof crush, pillar, and header-panel corrections that a deck-level tower can't reach on its own.
Universal Anchoring, Not Vehicle-Specific Clamps
The pinch weld assemblies adjust in height to clamp a wide range of rocker panel profiles directly to the steel deck, holding the body square under pulling load without needing model-specific fixtures.
Includes a Wheel Stand and Dead Vehicle Dolly
The universal wheel stand and dead vehicle dolly are included standard, so you can load a non-running vehicle onto the deck without a separate rolling dolly purchase.
✅ Best For
- ✅ Shops doing structural collision repair on unibody and full-frame vehicles up to 18 feet
- ✅ Two-tech workflows where independent towers pull two points simultaneously
❌ Not Ideal For
- ❌ Vehicles that consistently exceed 18 feet — the 20-foot FR-77-20 has the same tooling package on a longer deck
- ❌ Shops without 100–120 PSI shop air already run to the bay
FR-77-18 vs. FR-77-20 — Which Deck Length Fits Your Shop?
Same pulling-tower package and 7,700 lb capacity on both — the real difference is deck length.
| Decision Point | FR-77-18 (this product) | FR-77-20 |
|---|---|---|
| Deck length | 18 ft | 20 ft |
| Ship weight | 5,300 lb | 6,000 lb |
| Deck width / height | 82.6 in / 19.7 in | 82.6 in / 19.7 in (same) |
| Pulling towers / capacity | Two 10-ton towers, 7,700 lb | Two 10-ton towers, 7,700 lb (same) |
Choose the FR-77-18 if your bay or typical vehicle mix fits comfortably in 18 feet. Choose the 20-foot FR-77-20 if you regularly work on longer trucks or SUVs and want more deck to anchor and pull from. Call (817) 865-3707 if you're not sure which length fits your shop.
