FS-Curtis RNHI Series FAQs
RNHI is a line of high-inlet-temperature refrigerated air dryers spanning roughly 20 CFM to 125 CFM. They are designed to accept compressed air hotter than a standard refrigerated dryer will tolerate, which makes them the practical option on installations without an effective aftercooler.
When there is no aftercooler between the compressor and the dryer, or when the aftercooler cannot bring discharge temperature down to what a standard dryer requires. This is common on smaller reciprocating installations where an aftercooler was never fitted.
In some smaller installations it can replace one, which is the main reason to choose it. In larger systems an aftercooler is still generally the more efficient approach because removing heat before the dryer reduces the load on the refrigeration circuit.
Match the CFM rating to your compressor's actual delivered flow at working pressure, and confirm the model's rated maximum inlet temperature is above your actual compressor discharge temperature. Both conditions must be satisfied — flow alone is not enough.
Like other refrigerated dryers it targets a dew point suitable for preventing condensation in shop piping at normal indoor temperature. Confirm the rated dew point at your actual inlet temperature, since performance is stated against specific inlet conditions.

Standard refrigerated dryer maintenance: keep the condenser clean, confirm the condensate drain works, and watch for rising dew point. High-inlet units work harder by design, so condenser cleanliness matters more rather than less — a fouled condenser on a high-inlet unit loses performance faster than on a standard dryer.
