Atlas Platinum PVL15 — 15,000 lb ALI-Certified 2-Post Lift

A 10,000 lb two-post is the standard answer right up until the fleet shows up in service trucks — and then every lift is doing math it was never rated for. The Atlas Platinum PVL15 is built for that fleet: a 15,000 lb overhead two-post, ALI certified to ANSI/ALI ALCTV (stated on the manufacturer's own page and verifiable at autolift.org), aimed squarely at long-wheelbase trucks and service trucks.

It runs on dual direct-drive hydraulic cylinders — no chains — fed by an ALLY AL2300 power unit that's MET Laboratories certified for US and Canadian electrical compliance, with padded carriages, symmetric arms, a professional-grade arm lock restraint system, and heavy 3/8" equalization cables. With adapters, it reaches 87 1/2 inches — and an optional Height Extension Kit stretches the columns two more feet for tall vehicles.

What the Atlas Platinum PVL15 Is NOT Built For

This is not a lift for low ceilings — 174 1/2 inches of column (before the extension kit) is a serious height commitment, and a bay that can't carry it should look at the Platinum 4-post line instead. It's not for anything over 15,000 lbs, not for hobbyist budgets, and not for alignment work.

Important sizing note: measure ceiling against the 174 1/2" columns (plus 2 ft if you plan the extension kit) plus vehicle height at full rise, floor width (148"), and confirm wheelbase and loaded weight before purchase.
