Atlas TPO-9 — 9,000 lb Overhead (Clear-Floor) 2-Post Lift
Cables and hydraulic lines across the floor turn a two-post bay into an obstacle course — carts catch, creepers stop, and containment pans live somewhere else. The Atlas TPO-9 is the clear-floor answer: a 9,000 lb overhead two-post whose 12-foot column set carries everything up top, leaving the floor beneath the vehicle completely clear.
The bay underneath becomes real workspace: 76 1/2 inches of rise (79 1/2 with adapters) puts the vehicle at working height with the spring-loaded Secondary Lock System and automatic arm restraints holding the load, and dual-point lock release keeping cycles quick.
Who the Atlas TPO-9 Is Built For
- Shops that want the floor back — the clear-floor overhead design leaves the space beneath the lifted vehicle free for carts, creepers, drain pans, and foot traffic.
- General-service bays on sedans, SUVs, and 3/4-ton pickups — 9,000 lbs of capacity on symmetric arms, with a 99 1/2" drive-thru width.
- Bays with 12-foot-plus ceilings — the 144" column set is the trade for the clear floor; if the ceiling can't take it, the TPF-9 baseplate is the low-bay answer.
- Techs who want the safety kit — spring-loaded Secondary Lock System (SLS), automatic arm restraints, dual-point lock release.
- Shops already verified for the install — 4" of 3,000 psi concrete and 220V single-phase on a 30 amp breaker.
What the Atlas TPO-9 Is NOT Built For
This is not the lift for low ceilings — 144 inches of column plus a raised vehicle needs real headroom, and a bay that can't give it belongs in the TPF-9 baseplate instead. It's also not for anything over 9,000 lbs or for alignment work.
Important sizing note: measure ceiling against the 144" columns plus vehicle height at full rise, floor width (133 1/2"), and confirm loaded weight before purchase.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions - Atlas TPO-9
What does "clear floor" actually mean?
The equalization cables and hydraulic routing ride the overhead beam between the 12-foot columns — nothing crosses the floor under the vehicle, so the whole bay beneath it is usable workspace.
My ceiling is under 12 feet — can I still use the TPO-9?
Not safely — the columns stand 144". For lower ceilings, the Atlas TPF-9 baseplate version tops out at 111 1/2" with no overhead beam.
What power and concrete does it need?
220 volt single-phase on a 30 amp breaker, and minimum 4 inches of 3,000 psi concrete. Hydraulic oil (3–5 gallons AW32/AW46) is not included.
Do adapters come with it?
Yes — adjustable screw-up adapters, a free 4-piece truck adapter set, and free sliding arm adapters are included.
