Challenger 14,000 lb 4-Post General Service Lift — Closed Front, Standard
A shop running general repair on heavier trucks and commercial vehicles needs full standing clearance underneath the vehicle, day in and day out — not just enough rise to peek under the frame. A lift with a cramped rise height turns routine driveline, exhaust, and undercarriage work into a crouching match, and that adds up to slower jobs and tired techs.
The Challenger 4P14EFX is the closed-front, standard-length configuration of the 14,000 lb 4-post general service platform, with a 78" rise height — one of the highest in the industry — giving techs real standing room for the daily grind of general service work. The closed front adds structural rigidity for the heavier, more frequent commercial loads this platform is built to handle.
Who the 4P14EFX Is Built For
- A general-repair shop working on trucks, vans, and commercial vehicles all day, where the 78" rise height means techs get full standing clearance instead of crouching under a frame.
- A commercial fleet service bay running daily maintenance — exhaust, driveline, suspension, brakes — on vehicles up to 14,000 lbs, where durable column construction handles constant cycling without excess wear.
- A shop with a standard-depth bay (12' x 24') that doesn't need the extended 210" wheelbase of the 4P14XFX and would rather use the compact footprint efficiently.
- An operation that wants the added structural rigidity of a closed front for vehicles routinely loaded closer to the 14,000 lb rated capacity.
- A shop replacing an older general-service lift with a low approach angle problem — the 4P14EFX's wide runways and low approach make loading lower-clearance work trucks and vans faster and more confident.
- A shop that primarily does general service rather than dedicated alignment work, and doesn't need the alignment-specific hardware found on the 4115/AR4115 series.
What the 4P14EFX Is NOT Built For
If your longest vehicles push past a 182.5" wheelbase, the standard-length EFX will be tight — the 4P14XFX extends coverage to a 210" max wheelbase in the same closed-front configuration. And if dedicated wheel alignment with turnplates and slip plates is a core part of your service mix, the 4115EFX or AR4115 alignment-ready series is the better fit.
What Makes the 4P14EFX Different
Low Approach Angle
Wide 20" runways combined with a low approach angle mean a driver isn't fighting a steep ramp to get a lower-clearance van or sedan onto the lift. On a general-service bay handling a mix of vehicle types all day, that translates to faster, more confident loading and fewer scraped front bumpers on lowered or low-clearance vehicles.
One of the Highest Rises in the Industry
At 78", the 4P14EFX's rise height is among the highest in its class — enough for a tech to stand fully upright under most vehicles instead of crouching for exhaust, driveline, or undercarriage work. Over a full day of general service jobs, that difference in posture adds up to less fatigue and faster work.
Durable Column Construction
The 4P14EFX is built for a shop's full daily general-service workload — constant cycling up and down, heavier commercial vehicles, routine wear — not just occasional lifts. That durability matters on a lift that's the backbone of daily bay throughput rather than a specialty tool used a few times a week.
Two Length Options
The 4P14 platform comes in standard (up to 182.5" wheelbase, this listing) or extended (up to 210" wheelbase, the 4P14XFX) configurations, so you can match the lift to your actual vehicle mix instead of over-buying floor space you don't need or under-buying coverage for longer trucks.
Louvered Approach Ramps
Diamond tread and abrasive strip ramps wear smooth over time and can let a tire spin under load. Louvered ramps keep their bite as they age, which means safer, more confident loading on a lift that's cycling through general-service vehicles all day, every day.
- Closed-front 4-post general service lift, standard length applications
- Shops needing 14,000 lbs certified alignment capacity
- Facilities with at least 12' x 24' of bay space
- General repair bays without dedicated alignment volume
- Shops with bay space below 12' x 24'
