Challenger 15,000 lb 4-Post Alignment Lift — Closed Front, Extended
An extended-cab dually or a long-wheelbase cargo van pulls in and the tech realizes the standard-length alignment lift on the floor won't take the wheelbase without the vehicle overhanging the runway. That's a job you either turn away or shoehorn onto equipment it wasn't built for — neither is a good look for a shop trying to build a reputation on alignment work for larger vehicles.
The Challenger 4115XFX is the closed-front, extended-length configuration of the 15,000 lb 4-post platform, built with a 210.5" max wheelbase and a 275.5" overall length — room for the long-wheelbase trucks and vans the standard-length 4115 models can't take. The closed front adds structural rigidity to the column assembly, which matters when you're routinely loading heavier, longer commercial vehicles at rated capacity.
Who the 4115XFX Is Built For
- A fleet shop servicing extended-cab dually pickups and cargo vans where the standard 183" wheelbase limit on other 4115 variants leaves the vehicle hanging off the end of the runway.
- A commercial shop that wants the structural rigidity of a closed-front column for heavier, longer vehicles loaded closer to the 15,000 lb rated capacity.
- A shop with a deep bay (14' x 26' or more) that would rather use the extra floor space for a longer-wheelbase lift than leave it empty.
- An operation that doesn't run dedicated 4-wheel alignments as a core service line and doesn't need the factory turnplate/slip-plate kit — general service and suspension work on long vehicles is the priority.
- A shop in a high-humidity or road-salt region considering the optional galvanized coating to protect runways and jack rails on a lift that will see heavy year-round use.
- A shop upgrading from a shorter 4-post that keeps bottoming out the ramps on longer trucks, looking for the added 27.5" of overall length the extended runway provides.
What the 4115XFX Is NOT Built For
If dedicated wheel alignment is a core part of your service mix, the 4115XFX doesn't include the factory alignment kit (turnplates, slip plates) — the AR4115XAX gives you the same closed-front, extended-length footprint with the alignment kit included standard. And if your bay only has room for a standard-length runway, the 4115EFX covers the same closed-front rigidity in a shorter 247.625" overall length.
What Makes the 4115XFX Different
Galvanized Coating Upgrade Available
Extended-length lifts like the 4115XFX tend to see more total runway traffic over their service life simply because they're the lift a shop routes its longest, heaviest jobs to. The optional galvanized coating protects runways, jack rails, turn plate pockets, and slip plate pockets from corrosion in coastal, high-humidity, or road-salt regions, so the components that take the most wear over years of daily use don't rust out early. Ask Alamo about it before ordering if your shop is in a harsh-climate region.
All-New 22" Wide Runways
The 4115XFX's 22.375" runways give a long-wheelbase truck or van more surface to land on during loading, which matters more on an extended lift where the driver has more length to judge. Wider runways mean less risk of a tire riding the edge on a longer vehicle, and more stable footing for techs working underneath.
Open and Closed Front Configurations
The XFX's closed front adds structural rigidity to the column assembly — a meaningful factor on the extended-length lift, since longer overall spans put more leverage on the frame under a heavy, long-wheelbase vehicle. If open-front access to adjustment points matters more for your workflow, the 4115XFO carries the same extended length with an open front.
Improved 4-Wheel Alignment Wheelbase
The 4115 platform's extended wheelbase range on the XFX means the same lift handles both a mid-size pickup and a full extended-cab dually without swapping equipment mid-shift. For a fleet or commercial shop with a mixed vehicle roster, that's one lift covering a wider range of jobs instead of routing long vehicles elsewhere.
Louvered Approach Ramps
On a 275.5" overall-length lift, the approach ramps see plenty of use loading longer vehicles. Louvered ramps hold their grip better over time than diamond tread or abrasive strip designs, which means less wheel spin and a more confident load-on even after the ramps have logged years of daily traffic.
- Closed-front 4-post alignment lift, extended length applications
- Shops needing 15,000 lbs certified alignment capacity
- Facilities with at least 14' x 26' of bay space
- General repair bays without dedicated alignment volume
- Shops with bay space below 14' x 26'
