Scissor Lift Flush Mount

A flush-mount lift is recessed into the floor so that when it is fully lowered the platform sits level with the surrounding concrete. The bay reads as open floor when the lift is down.

For a clean bay floor with no obstruction to walk around or drive over, which matters in showroom-adjacent service areas, alignment lanes shared with other work, and shops where floor space is used for more than one purpose. Surface-mount units cost less and install far more easily.

The floor must be cut and excavated to create a recess, with the pit formed, drained, and prepared to the manufacturer's specification before the lift is set. This is concrete work that must be planned and scheduled with the equipment order — it is not a same-day installation.

Water and fluid will find their way into a floor recess. Drainage or a means of removing accumulated fluid should be planned into the pit design. Confirm the manufacturer's requirement for the specific model during installation planning.
