Wheel Service

This collection combines tire changers and wheel balancers from Atlas, Atlas Platinum, and Hofmann — the two core machines for a tire and wheel bay. More specific collections separate them by machine type.

At minimum a tire changer and a wheel balancer matched to the wheel sizes you service, plus adapters for your wheel mix, a means of handling heavy assemblies, and adequate shop air. Combo packages bundle the two main machines at lower cost. Alamo can specify a complete bay setup.

Match both machines to the same wheel size range so one is not limiting the other, and make sure their throughput suits your volume. A fast changer paired with a slow balancer just moves the bottleneck.

Check maximum rim diameter, rim width, and overall tire diameter against the largest wheels you handle, and confirm the machine handles low-profile and run-flat construction if you see those. Large-diameter and low-profile wheels are where entry-level machines run out of capability.

They need a level floor, adequate shop air, and appropriate electrical supply, and some tire changers are anchored to the floor. Confirm the specific model's installation requirements before delivery.

Wheel weights, mounting lubricant, plastic protectors and mounting heads, cones and adapters as your wheel mix changes, and periodic calibration on the balancer. Protectors and mounting heads are the recurring consumables that matter most for avoiding wheel damage.

By LTL freight, typically curbside. Both machine types are heavy and need equipment to move into position. Confirm receiving capability and inspect for freight damage before signing.
