Most shops don't run one kind of vehicle. You've got coupes, SUVs, half-ton pickups, and the occasional light commercial truck — sometimes all in the same afternoon. The Challenger CL10AV3-2-DPC-QC is built for that reality: a 10,000 lb ALI/ETL certified 2-post lift with Versymmetric® arm technology, QuickCycle™ 24-second rise, and dual pendant controls. It handles whatever rolls into your bay without asking you to reconfigure it first.

Versymmetric® Arm Technology

Most 2-post lifts force a choice: symmetric loading (good for trucks, crowds the door) or asymmetric loading (good for car doors, awkward for trucks). The CL10AV3's Versymmetric® arms do both — in the same bay, on the same lift. The directSPOT™ geometry on the 3-stage front and 3-stage rear arms gets you to factory lift points faster and more accurately than standard asymmetric designs. Load a Camry the same way you'd load an F-150 — without repositioning the lift or burning a bay cycle.

QuickCycle™ Speed — 24-Second Rise

A standard 2-post lift takes 45 to 60 seconds to reach working height. The CL10AV3-2-DPC-QC's QuickCycle™ dual-point lock release system cuts that to 24 seconds flat. For a shop turning 10 to 15 vehicles a day, that's real time recovered — not just on paper. The pulley-less, jacketed lock release also runs smoother and outlasts traditional multi-point cable systems over time.

Dual Pendant Controls

The lift ships with dual pendant controls — one on each column. Your tech can raise, lower, and release the lift from either side of the vehicle without walking around the post or reaching across the bay. For brake and suspension work where you're moving between wheels constantly, this matters more than it sounds. No more leaning over the hood to reach a single pendant.

Adjustable Width Configuration

Three column-spread settings give you overall widths of 11'6.5", 12'0.5", or 12'6.5" — matching the lift to your bay, not the other way around. Drive-thru clearances are 100", 106", and 112" respectively. Set it once, and you're done. The adjustable width also means this lift installs cleanly in tighter bays that would require compromise from a fixed-width design.

Height Configurations

Two ceiling requirements: 13'3" for the low-ceiling setup and 13'9" for standard. A 2' height extension is included; a 3' extension is available separately for shops with higher clearance. Measure from your finished floor to the lowest obstruction — not just the roof deck — before ordering. Rise height is 74.125", and the 48" elongated, fully gusseted carriage is built for long-term column rigidity.

The short version: Alamo sells, installs, services, and inspects Challenger lifts. A shop buying from a box-shipper gets a pallet. A shop buying from Alamo gets a partner. Call (817) 865-3707 — we'll confirm bay fit, concrete requirements, and schedule your install before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Challenger CL10AV3-2-DPC-QC ALI certified?

Yes. The CL10AV3-2-DPC-QC is ALI/ETL Listed and Gold Label certified, meeting the highest safety and performance standards established by the Automotive Lift Institute.

What ceiling height is required?

13'3" minimum for the low-ceiling configuration, or 13'9" for the standard setup. Measure from your finished floor to the lowest overhead obstruction — not just the roof deck.

What concrete thickness is required?

Minimum 4 inches of reinforced concrete at 3,000 PSI. If your slab is thinner or unreinforced, consult a licensed lift installer before purchasing. Alamo can help confirm bay suitability — call (817) 865-3707.

Can this lift handle trucks and SUVs?

Yes. At 10,000 lbs with Versymmetric arm technology, it handles cars, crossovers, SUVs, and most light-duty trucks. The 3-stage front and rear arms provide a wide reach range for varied vehicle types.

What is Versymmetric lifting?

Versymmetric is Challenger's hybrid arm design that allows both symmetric and asymmetric vehicle spotting from the same lift without reconfiguring. It matters when your shop handles a mix of cars, trucks, and SUVs.

How fast does it raise a vehicle?

24 seconds with the QuickCycle™ dual-point lock release system — significantly faster than standard 2-post lifts, which typically take 45–60 seconds.

Does Alamo offer installation?

Yes. Alamo provides professional installation and annual lift inspections nationwide. Call (817) 865-3707 before ordering to confirm ceiling height, bay width, slab condition, and electrical requirements.

What electrical is needed?

208V–230V, 60Hz, single-phase with a dedicated 20A circuit. Have a licensed electrician verify the circuit before installation.

Best For

✅ General auto repair shops with mixed vehicle bays

✅ Tire, brake, and suspension service centers

✅ Dealership service departments handling varied models

✅ Fleet maintenance facilities servicing cars and light trucks

✅ High-volume inspection and quick-lube bays

✅ Shops needing symmetric AND asymmetric spotting in the same bay

❌ Not suited for ceilings below 13'3"

❌ Not suited for heavy-duty trucks over 10,000 lbs (consider the Challenger CL12 or a 4-post heavy-duty lift)

❌ Not a drive-on platform — not designed for alignment racks or vehicle storage

Installation Requirements

Concrete: Minimum 4" thick, 3,000 PSI reinforced slab — verify before scheduling

Anchor bolts: Confirm anchor suitability with a licensed installer; see Challenger manual for specs

Electrical: 208V–230V, 60Hz, single-phase, dedicated 20A circuit

Ceiling height: 13'3" minimum (low config) or 13'9" (standard config) — measure to lowest obstruction

Why Buy This Challenger Lift From Alamo Equipment

There are other places to buy a Challenger lift. Most of them will drop it on a freight truck and hand you a tracking number. That's where the relationship ends.

Free shipping to the 48 contiguous states

Professional installation available nationwide — our team installs Challenger lifts; we know what bay prep actually looks like in practice

Pre-order consultation included — tell us your ceiling height, bay width, slab condition, and vehicle mix; we'll confirm this is the right lift before you spend a dollar

Annual lift inspections — required for most commercial shop liability coverage, and something your e-commerce competitor doesn't offer after the box ships

Certified repair and maintenance service — when the power unit, cable, or cylinder needs attention in year 3, you call the same team that sold and installed it

A shop buying a Challenger lift from a pure e-commerce retailer gets a box. A shop buying from Alamo gets a partner — we sell it, install it, service it, and inspect it annually.
