ALI Gold Label certified lifts are independently tested for safety and required by most insurance carriers and OSHA-aligned facilities.
ALI (Automotive Lift Institute) certification verifies that a vehicle lift has been independently tested by a third-party laboratory and meets the ANSI/ALI ALCTV safety performance standard. Certified lifts carry a current Gold Label and are listed in ALI's public directory.
Many commercial insurance carriers require ALI-certified lifts to maintain general liability coverage. OSHA treats ALI certification as the recognized industry consensus standard for lift safety. Most dealership warranty programs and fleet maintenance contracts also, it requires certified equipment.
Yes. The ALI Gold Label is the visible decal applied to lifts that have passed third-party certification testing and are currently registered. If a lift does not have a current Gold Label, it is not ALI certified — even if a previous model of the same lift was.
Yes. Every lift in this collection carries a current ALI Gold Label at the time of listing. If a manufacturer discontinues certification on a specific model, that model is removed from this collection.

Yes. ALI certifications must be renewed periodically and depend on continued manufacturer compliance. We only list lifts with current active certification at the time of purchase. Alamo Equipment provides documentation of the current certification status with every order.
Certified lifts typically carry a modest premium over non-certified equivalents to cover the cost of third-party testing and ongoing audits. For shops where insurance or compliance requires certification, the premium is recovered immediately. For shops without that requirement, certified lifts still provide documented safety verification.
Yes. Alamo Equipment coordinates ALI-certified installation through our installer network. Proper installation is required to maintain certification — improperly installed certified lifts lose their certification status.
